Naruto Chapter 442: The Last Gamble

Summary: Sakura tends to Hinata. Naruto withstands Pain's attack and deals a blow of his own.

Serenphoria Says:

Battle scenes confuse me but hey! classic kage bunshin attack. Nice.

Dude, Nagato has red hair? And Sakura really needs to pull her's back.

And Hinata...not be to disrespectful of the near-dead, but whoa.

And what's with the slugs? Let others help Naruto already!

That's all.

Rasengan to the gut--enough to leave alive but disable? More talking to be done I'm sure.

*yawn* I wanna go back to bed.

Nagato's red hair surprised me as well. Black would have been better, yo. He also looks ten times worse in color. Yeesh.

Damn, Naruto continues to surprise me in this chapter. When did he make all those clones? When he was falling or after, or what??? Using Taju Kage bunshin and the tried and true Rasengan to take out Pain once in for all was pretty neat.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, Sakura! Don't tell me you're giving up on Naruto just because Hinata said she loved him. She 'fought' Ino for the longest time for Sasuke, but she'll just step aside for Hinata? I'll be kind of disappointed if this happens.

I'm curious as to what Naruto and Nagato's conversation will be like now that he found his conviction.

Nagato: Violence and war are totally the answer!

Naruto: No, they're not, you big, village-destroying meanhead!

Nagato: Are so!

Naruto: Are not!

Nagato: Are so!

Naruto: Are not! And to prove it, I'm going to smite you like you've never been smited before!

Nagato: *is smited*

Naruto: I'm going to hit you until you realize that violence and war aren't the answer, or until your thinspired insides turn to smoothies, whichever comes first! And it's okay, because I'm the protagonist! Now, eat my Blender of Death jutsu!

You see, kids? Violence really IS the answer! Don't think about manga too deeply, kids. Stuff blew up! YAY!

Despite mocking dialogue to the contrary, I actually DID get a kick out of this chapter. I'm a sucker for cartoon-y violence.
