Naruto Chapter 433: Sage Technique Failure?
Summary: Out of sage-mode, Naruto uses his back-up plan. God-mode Pain gets his second wind. (Read 433 here)

For a moment I thought he was just going to swap with a clone and charged up (or we were seeing clone!Naruto this whole time)...idk, the whole thing was a little confusing.
And who didn't see all the dead Pains coming back alive a mile away. Sheesh.
I guess I don't really have much to say for this chapter...just that...it bothers me a little that Naruto's wearing Yondaime-style outerwear. I don't think it would actually be Yondaime's old summer cloak since Kishimoto would have made a bigger deal about it (but then again, he just might off Kakashi without a proper send off...) so anything is possible in the Narutoverse's small, small world.
But yeah, I feel that it's almost a little disrespectful to evoke Yondaime almost completely now (first it was just the verbal comparisons, now Naruto's visually replaced him) - to both of them. I liked Naruto because he was different and found a way to be accepted for who he is, but since the Tsunade-Jiraiya-nostalgic-bench-of-foreshadowy-death discussion, Naruto has disappeared a little even if he might think he's completely unique.
*Shrugs*
I hope Team Gai is out somewhere disposing of puppet-master!Pain, because otherwise, what the heck?! Where are they?

I think that leaving kage-bunshin behind to store the senjutsu chakra behind was pretty much genius--I'm glad they (probably Fukusaku) thought of it. I mean, they knew that without the ability to fuse to Naruto's shoulders that the sage mode wouldn't last, so they came up with a solution. The bunshin dispels and Bam! He's recharged by all the returning energy.
Yondaime was always wearing white from what I could tell (so it's clearly NOT his cloak, you've been reading too much fanfiction)--the cut of the coat is different too--even if it is similar.
I'm just questioning Kishimoto's color sense--c'mon Magenta with Orange?! I suppose he's just proving that Naruto is color-blind, or he's going for a full warm colors spectrum. 'Cause now he's got magenta, red, orange, and yellow set off by black.
I'm glad that Naruto knows which one to gun for now--the healer/regen dude. That was the whole point of having absorption guy die and come back after all. Of course we have to save the God!Pein for last, and if Naruto manages to kill all but him, Pein will have suffered a major setback. He won't be able to quickly heal the bodies he already has, he'll have to get new ones, and thus Kishi will have a bunch of new enemies to design for fun.
Yeah, I don't think this is going to end 'today'.
I'm still foreseeing Naruto's 'exile', perhaps for the village's own safety.
Even if I don't necessarily know where the author is going at the moment, I can tell he hasn't devolved into Rumiko Takahashi style ongoing forever unending filler (even if the anime has). He's still going somewhere, and I want to be along for the ride.
Oh right, duh, he got the healer Pein right at the end of the chapter in a clever ruse. *rolls eyes at self* That's what I get for waiting a couple of days after I read it to write.
Ok, so status report... Naruto is on is second round of sage mode. He has one more. He can only do two Rasen-shuriken per round of sage mode. He has already used two this round, but he still has quite a few rasengans left I'm sure.
Absorb!Pein and Heal!Pein are taken out, leaving only God!Pein, who has just recovered his powers.
If he is at full power, it is unlikely that he will deplete them again, as it took crushing the city to do so, BUT I think that isn't the case... He may run out of power again. But who will run out of power first? Him or Naruto?
Sage power is ridiculously short lived. Is the power of teamwork going to step in? Or the Kyuubi?

Oh, was there a color panel of Naruto's new clothes somewhere? I haven't had much time other than to skim the chapters lately and I'm working from memory as far as what Yondaime wore. Magenta. Really?
Ah, that's what he meant by four more to go. I wonder if he can't just create a few more clones, or if there is a chakra threshold he needs to meet for sage mode. Probably not, as that would allow Naruto to be in sage mode indefinately and less fun as a character.
Hm...I could see Naruto going into exile...though I don't know if it's going to be initiated by him or Tsunade...or maybe he'll just decide to go off and KEEL the bad guys and nobody has time to even consider exile :)
I miss Kyuubi. Naruto always come out so troubled afterwards. Okay, here's the deal...he can't handle it, Kyuubi manifests in some way, team work (+ Yamato) still happens. Pain monologues and he and Konan disappears, and then Naruto emos for about half a chapter before he declares his next move.

I'm so glad Naruto's planning his actions again instead of going Hulk, er, Kyuubi smash. I want so bad for Pain to be taken down. I'm sure he won't die yet, but i'd be great if Naruto could send him running. For some reason I see Madara being rather amused if that where to happen...
As for Yondaime... what Nibbles said :P But, c'mon, you have to admit that Naruto dressing in the most obnoxiously bright colors within the spectrum is part of his charm!
Naruto in exile is an interesting idea, but if that were to happen I see it as more of a self-imposed one since the villagers actually seem to like Naruto now.
@ NJ ... Yeah, you're right, his obscene color sense is a part of his charm. Ha ha.
There was a recent chapter that was in color yes... I believe it was when this fight started. The next chapter is supposed to be in color too.
