Actually, the summary should be: Nagato tells his sob story and I don't care. There's something very insincere about Nagato's story - and it's not the character's fault, but the author's. Oh poor orphan!Nagato, who saw his parents die. He was saved by kindness just as he was about to become vulture food and he has a dog. Cliche much?
His appearance doesn't help much either - it's hard for me to connect with characters that don't emote with their eyes. Plus, he was weak-willed and without personality in the first place. His story would have been much more compelling and tragic if he had further to fall.
Anyway, I did enjoy angry Naruto. I was actually glad that he was still fist-trembling angry - even though he exhibited some self-control, anything less than angry and hurt would have been out of character.Angry!Kyuubi!Sage!Naruto was so awesome! And a total oxymoron. How can that even be possible?

I'm not sure what to think of Naruto's Kyuubi/Sage thing. It would have been cooler if his pupils merged creating a 'diamond' look rather than simply overlapping. On the other hand: Sage yellow + Kyuubi red= awesome orange or badass sunburst?
Ya know... when Nagato said his parents were killed by Konoha nin I thought it was a bunch of renegades doing it maliciously. Then it was revealed that it was just Nagato's father being stupid enough to charge at them. On his defense perhaps Ame nin wouldn't have cared if they were civilian or not.
Man, as soon as he got that dog I think we all knew what was coming. On another note didn't it look like that cerberus creature Pain seemed so fond of summoning? Dude. Stop using your dead pals as weapons. That's just bad taste.

Seriously, Nagato was henchmen material from the get go. But instead of being Yahiko's flunky he's Madara's. Sheesh. If Madara wasn't mocking Nagato throughout everything I'll be very disappointed.
Nagato, your apathy is disgusting. I mean, you do these horrible things, but then it feels all very 'phoned-in', like you're doing it out of guilt--which you are.
Naruto, punch him in the face already.

*This dog is toast. Therefore, taterbird will not be reading this, and in fact, is going to pretend that it never, never, NEVER happened. taterbird is sure that it's very sad/touching/totally cheap attempt to play on sympathy. But kids and dogs together combine to make her refer to herself in the third person, while avoiding them like the plague they are. A plague of the heartstrings. This is a Bad Thing. Everyone is Very Sad when this happens. So, in conclusion- taterbird went to PetSmart today to buy treats for her rescue dog, whom, as taterbird is not a ninja, a kid with cancer, a blind person, the child of a southern lawyer with dead aim, or a person with no friends, stands a reasonable chance of survival. Thank you, and have a animal-related-tragedy free day!*

No wonder Nagato is Madara's pawn. He's so easy. It was more interesting when we thought that Pain was Yahiko.
