Naruto Chapter 428: Conversation

Summary: Konohamaru faces Pain. The crypto group theorizes that the Six Paths of Pain are controlled by a single source. Shizune has her mind read and the Pains learn where Naruto is. (Read 428 here)

Serenphoria Says:

Aaaahh my eeeyes! Konohamaru, please keep your flashback thoughts to yourself.

sigh

But kudos for the Rasengan. Even if it doesn't make a dent, I'm proud.

And it looks like my puppet-master theory is shaking out too. Is it Nagato? Is it? Is it!?! If it is, I think it's wicked twisted that he's using his nakama Yahiko's body to be the main pain. *evil grin*

So what? The real Pain is hiding in a tree somewhere outside Konoha? I really want to see him grinning maniacally and monologing to himself and then get pwned by Team Gai on their way into the village. Neji's got magic eyes!

Oh my, what if the real Pain is a real wuss? The man behind the curtain, the Trio behind the demons? (Lee: Lotus Kick! Pain: Owie!)

And final thought: mindreading!Pain, you couldn't have thought of that earlier?

YAAAAAAAY for puppetmaster theory :D I don't know about you but I love it when I'm right XD

What I don't get is how they didn't GET IT before.

I got it as soon as Jiraiya's message said 'The real one isn't there'. Pretty blindingly obvious what that means.

I think Konohamaru using the Rasengan was a little.... :|
And the fact that he beat a Pain while Kakashi got beaten to an on-verge-of-death-or-maybe-dead pulp.

I dunno whether it IS twisted for him to be using Yahiko. Yahiko seemed to be the one who was most likely going to be Pain (like Jiraiya originally thought) so maybe Yahiko said 'USE MEEEE' or something to that effect in his dying moments.

LOL at the thought of Nagato (hopefully it is Nagato, or Insane!Nagato... or maybe Nutty!Nagato) hiding in a tree. I'm not sure about that to be honest. Maybe the Konoha nin have got it wrong?

Plus I think comparing Pein to the Yamanaka Clan is pretty laughable to be honest. This is ONE dude who's controlling SIX dead!bodies. Can the Yamanaka's control six bodies (dead ones) - oh no they can't - can they use crazy techniques - they really can't - would they all have the same vision if they - nope. It was like Inoichi was trying to big himself up.

As for mindreading!Pain, of COURSE he couldn't do that earlier. Wouldn't have the big fight scene or the plot developments that came with it XD

I lol'd- I was totally right about the dead bodies. And...did Naruto teach his Swirly Ball o' Death to Konohamaru using Ninja Playboy? ...'Cause yeah, that's kinda weird, methinks- in a "the brain bleach, it does nothing!" kind of way.

I thought the exchange with Pain + Tsunade was hystercally funny for some reason. You know, "I'm totally God, wars is imminent, blah, and if you surrender now, I might not crush you into itty bitty pieces." "ZOMG, I remember you when you were a cute and obnoxious child, and NO YOU CAN'T HAVE MY VILLAGE AND NARUTO, YOU WHINY BRAT (you are so totally not God.)" *stamps foot, holds breath, runs away* "I am, too! I am so God! I HATE YOU, NO ONE UNDERSTAAAAANDS ME!"*in the distance* "Are not. So not God."

By-the-way- couldn't Kabuto control dead bodies for a little while while he went crashing out of windows and smirked? Find new powers, Kishimoto.

How awesome would it be if Nagato had been like, a janitor in Konoha all this time, and they find him in the broom closet, clutching his mop (which is his only friend. Maybe he'd named it Mr. Snuggles.).

Seeing Konohamaru's flashbacks to sexy no jutsu, my first thought was "Holy crap Nibbles was right!"

The disappointment I felt when proven wrong somewhat tainted the awesome that was Konohamaru using the Rasengan.

Damn it would be great if team Gai took out Pain. Gai must avenge Kakashi after all! I'm really going to miss their weird little one sided rivalry...

Huh. I guess Naruto won't have to go to Konoha after all. Next chapter preview does not sound promising at all.

Ohh, I see what was going on there in the flashback--Naruto was explaining the Rasengan the whole time and Konohamaru was getting the pervy wrong idea. So K-maru was coming up with the filth all on his lonesome--the little perv. I think it's awesome that he can do the rasengan though, even if it's a mini one. I suppose knowing kage bunshin makes it easier, huh.

Creepy mind Pein was just running around trying to attach to the right head that would know where Naruto was. K-maru's opponent was doing the same thing. Summoning and (now dead) Gadget Peins were just running around to cause as much destruction as possible to cover for the info gathering mission. Now that Pein knows, will they retreat and go to frog mountain to get Naruto, or will Pein stay and try to kill the hokage?

Either way, one way or the other, he's not going to nab Naruto right now. 'Cause while he doesn't know it at the moment, the eight-tails escaped, and he's going to have some bad news when he gets home.

And just how is Konan doing with the Aburame, hm? Kishi didn't show her this chapter, will she die? I hope so! (Take that you bastard! That's what you get for taking away Kakashi! *sniff*)

I am so proud of that little pervy monkey. Though I kinda agree with Ebisu, "When did he learn that...?!"
Also, he has a large capacity of chakra if he can pull off two clones and a Rasengan at the same time. Kudos to your training regimen.

The Tsunade/Yahiko convo was interesting, albeit in a less-talky-more-fighty way. Two things I did like:
"Konoha's methods aren't always perfect, but your ways suck." (I'm still curious about the political structure and intrigue.)
"Naruto... is strong." (Tsunade rocks.)

Though I'm glad for more detail on the Yamanaka's powers (and Pein's), the plausibility of their connection seems a little iffy. But that might just be me.
On the other hand, it's unexpected.

I would absolutely love Kishimoto forever if he showed Team Gai taking out Pein. Serious. Love. Though I do wonder about Nagato; did he go mad? The reveal should be good.
